Integrated Banking Software Vendor will further assist in the Bank's Transformation from a Micro-Financier to a Successful Commercial Bank
PHNOM PENH - February 26, 2001 - ACLEDA BANK LIMITED today signed a contract with Temenos, a leading international financial software house, to install the GLOBUS banking system in its branch network in Cambodia.
"As the nation's newest bank, ACLEDA has taken the opportunity to invest in the very latest banking technology to provide it's customers with a wide range of banking products and services and to implement 'state of the art' Management Information System," said Mr. In Channy, General Manager. "GLOBUS has a proven track record in fast and successful implementations which is important for us in our aim to install the system in 14 provincial branches as soon as possible. Our plan is to introduce Savings Accounts initially and follow with various other higher interest earning products for the ordinary people of Cambodia."
Mr. Chea Sok, Chairman of ACLEDA, commented that the powerful internal control and reporting features of the new system would appeal to the National Bank regulators who are focusing strongly on sound financial management practice in the banking system in Cambodia.
